Where Our Story Began
From the princely era of Mysore to today’s global fragrance market, our journey has always been about devotion, purity, and artistry.
Our family legacy in incense and perfume is not just a business — it is a story woven with tradition,
culture, and love for fragrance. It began in 1932, when my maternal great-grandfather
founded Mysore Islamic Agarbatti Works, one of the earliest devotional incense houses in
South India.From a humble beginning, his mastery in creating sacred aromas earned deep respect among devotees,
traders, and fragrance lovers. After India’s independence, the company evolved into
Mysore-i Agarbatti Works, popularly known as Masthana Darbar Agarbatti
— a name synonymous with purity, tradition, and ceremonial fragrance offerings.
1932
Mysore Islamic Agarbatti Works, also known as Masthana Durbar Agarbatti, is founded – one of South
India’s pioneering devotional incense manufacturers.
1972
Eskay Sugandh Bhandar is created by my father, entering the perfumery industry with
aromatic oils and premium fragrances.
1999
I officially take charge of the legacy, blending traditional craftsmanship with branding, innovation,
and global market understanding.
A Family That Lives & Breathes Fragrance
Our craft is guided by the wisdom of three generations before me.
I am Mohammed Abdul Nabi (Tabrez), and I proudly carry this heritage as the
4th generation torchbearer of our family tradition.
I am truly blessed to have been personally trained in incense craftsmanship by my
grandfather Late Mohammed Abdul Rasheed (Babu Sait) and in
attars & perfumery by my father M. A. Qayyum (Eskay Perfumer). The
excellence I represent today is the direct result of their teachings and blessings.

- Founder of Eskay Sugandh Bhandar in 1972.
- Inspired by his father-in-law, M. A. Rasheed (Babu Sait), partner of Masthana Darbar Agarbatti.
- My father stepped into the incense and attar business, and from there our family formally entered the perfume industry and made a good name for ourselves. In this way, my dad gradually established a strong foothold in the perfume industry and expanded our family business.

More than 25 years of direct experience in the incense and perfumery industry.
In 1999, I formally took over the responsibility of steering our legacy into a new era.
Since then, I have dedicated myself to blending time-honored techniques with modern innovation, branding,
and global market understanding.
To deepen my craft, I completed a specialised perfumery course at the
Grasse Institute of Perfumery (GIP), France, and trained in
Kannauj – the “Perfume Capital of India”, where I mastered:
- Traditional distillation processes
- Attar extraction techniques
- Oudh & musk blending
- Smoke-free fragrance creation
- Long-lasting aroma design
- Modern perfumery concepts rooted in tradition
This unique combination of heritage and formal training allows us to stay rooted in our origins while
continually evolving for today’s discerning fragrance lovers.
